A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Istanbul on Thursday, with its epicenter located in the Buyukcekmece district, according to Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), APA reports citing Türkiye Today.
According to AFAD, the tremor occurred 17.82 kilometers from Istanbul’s Buyukcekmece district at a depth of 7.01 kilometers (4.4 miles).
There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
