Israeli army struck a Palestinian radical from the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip who posed a threat to soldiers, the army press service said, APA reports.
"The Israel Defense Forces carried out a precision strike, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, against a Hamas terrorist who was planning to attack Israeli forces operating in the southern Gaza Strip. The terrorist posed an immediate threat to the troops and was therefore the target of the precision strike," the statement said.
The press service noted that "steps were taken before the strike to minimize damage to the civilian population."
