EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas has called on EU countries to provide Ukraine with interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems from their stockpiles, APA reports.
Kallas made the remarks to journalists on September 28 on her way to a meeting of EU defense ministers in Brussels.
The agenda of the meeting includes military support for Ukraine, including air defense.
“Ukraine urgently needs air defence. We are making this plea again that those who have them in stock – how they can give it to Ukraine, so that the Patriot missiles that are produced then later on will be filling their stocks,” Kallas said.
