In January-August 2026, 728,536 tons of motor vehicles were transported by ferry vessels of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO), APA-Economics reports citing ASCO.
This figure is 13% higher compared to the same period last year. In January-August 2025, 643,623 tons of motor vehicles were transported by ferries.
An increase was also recorded in the number of motor vehicles transported. In the first eight months of this year, 28,178 motor vehicles were transported by ferries. In the same period last year, this figure stood at 25,641. Thus, the number of motor vehicles transported increased by 10% year-on-year.
During the reporting period, the volume of transit motor vehicle transportation by ferry vessels amounted to 678,760 tons, which is 9% higher than in the same period last year.
