Two people were killed and around 10 others injured in a drone strike on the Stolychnyi market in Ukraine’s Kyiv region on the evening of September 27, Oleksandr Medved, acting head of the Borshchahivka community, announced this on Telegram, APA reports.
According to him, the strike hit the market in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka in Bucha district. Emergency and other relevant services were deployed to the scene.
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office said a strike drone hit the market. Initial reports indicated that one person had been killed and around 10 others injured.
Medved later said the death toll had risen to two.
The Prosecutor’s Office also reported that an earlier drone attack in Bucha district on September 27 damaged five vehicles, killing one person and injuring three others.
Ukrainian authorities said the attacks were carried out by Russian forces.
