Traffic at the intersection of Mahammad Khiyabani Street and the Outer Ring Road is planned to be reorganized, APA-Economics reports.
As part of a project by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA), it is planned to construct a tunnel-type overpass, an interchange with a roundabout, and a side road in the direction of Garadagh.
According to the project, traffic flows in different directions are planned to be separated and traffic organized at different levels. This is aimed at reducing intersections and delays in vehicle movement at the junction and organizing entrances and exits more efficiently.
The project also envisages the creation of appropriate infrastructure for the comfortable and safe movement of pedestrians.
The new road junction is also expected to affect the distribution of traffic flows in the directions of 20 January, Shamakhinka and Garadagh.
It should be noted that this project is one of 24 road projects planned to be implemented under the “State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030.”
