Iran has warned that it will strike several infrastructure and energy facilities linked to U.S. interests across the region if the United States attacks bridges or power plants in the country, APA reports.
The statement was made by a source within the Iranian Armed Forces.
The source did not disclose their identity or provide further details about the potential targets.
It should be noted that U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States would launch retaliatory strikes if Iran carries out any armed attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that from this point forward, every time the Islamic Republic of Iran fires a missile, rocket, drone, or any other device or weapon at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant, including those located in or near the Iranian capital, Tehran.
