Iran has almost completely halted oil supplies to foreign markets, according to Abdolnasser Hemmati, governor of the Islamic Republic's central bank, APA reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"Under the current circumstances, oil exports have practically ceased," Hemmati said, as quoted by the Mehr news agency . He added that he is convinced that "the Central Bank's planning was correct, which is why Iran now has foreign exchange resources."
As Hemmati noted, in his letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, he assured that "there is no need to worry about the supply of essential goods and medicines, as they are provided by the central bank and the government."
