Baku-APA. An aftershock measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted off Kermadec Islands region at 4:35 a.m. Hong Kong time on Thursday (2035 GMT Wednesday), the U.S. Geological Survey said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.00 km, was initially determined to be at 29.5640 degrees south latitude and 176.2035 degrees west longitude.
The aftershock occurred following a 7.6-magnitude earthquake in the same area.
