ANAS: Acts of culturicide documented in the liberated territories

Since the establishment of the State Commission on determining the fate of missing persons, the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has been actively involved in the Commission's work, Director of the Institute Farhad Guliyev said at the international conference titled "Modern Approaches and Strengthening Cooperation in Resolving the Issue of Missing Persons," held within the framework of cooperation with the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), APA reports.

He stressed that young specialists working in the field of physical anthropology through the State Commission have gained extensive experience and that this activity has made a significant contribution to the development of anthropology in Azerbaijan.

Farhad Guliyev said that the archaeological and physical anthropological research carried out by the institute in the liberated territories has led to the uncovering of many previously unresolved issues.

The director of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology also spoke about acts of culturicide committed not only against Azerbaijani citizens but also against historical monuments in the liberated territories, emphasizing that all of these crimes have been documented with evidence.
