"The ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as efforts to normalize relations between Türkiye and Armenia, are encouraging. This creates prospects for greater stability and cooperation across our wider region," Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said at the 67th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), APA's local bureau reports.

According to him, the region today has great potential to strengthen its role as a hub for trade, transport, energy, and digital connectivity.

"To further strengthen cooperation, we should view the current period not only in terms of challenges but also as a time of new opportunities," the speaker noted.

Papuashvili added that the full commissioning earlier this month of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, a joint strategic project of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye, is a clear example of mutually beneficial cooperation and a shared contribution to the region's development.
