Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend the funeral ceremony of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
Ara Shahverdiyan, the representative of the Armenian community in the Iranian Parliament, told ISNA that the Armenian prime minister has confirmed his readiness to attend the ceremony.
It should be noted that Iran's Deputy Interior Minister Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian said at a press conference today that the heads of state of numerous Islamic and non-Islamic countries, as well as leaders of Iran's neighboring states, have expressed their intention to attend the ceremony.
According to him, more than 30 countries have applied to participate in the ceremony.
Pourjamshidian said that, according to the latest information, religious leaders, representatives of various denominations, and scholars from more than 90 countries have announced their readiness to attend the ceremony.
He added that an official tribute ceremony attended by heads of state, government officials, and representatives of different religions and denominations from various countries will be held in Tehran on Friday.
