Nearly 2 billion manats will be allocated for financing the State Program on Agriculture through 2030, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said during the discussion of the draft law "On the Execution of the 2025 State Budget" at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
The minister said that the agricultural sector is one of the priority areas of the non-oil sector and receives significant state support every year through subsidies, concessions, and other support mechanisms financed from the state budget.
"By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 25, 2026, the 'State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture for 2026–2030' was approved. This State Program is one of the main strategic documents marking a new stage in the country's agricultural policy.
I would like to note that nearly 2 billion manats are envisaged to be allocated from the state budget during 2026–2030 to finance the State Program."
