The number of confirmed Ebola virus cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has reached 1,307, APA reports, citing the country's Ministry of Communication and Media.
According to the ministry, the death toll from the Ebola virus has risen to 377. The fatality rate stands at 28.8%.
Currently, 615 people are receiving treatment in hospitals and medical isolation centers. Another 180 people have fully recovered and been discharged. The rate of monitoring individuals who have come into contact with infected persons has reached 81.3%.
It should be noted that the current Ebola outbreak began on May 15 in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. The virus has spread across three provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Uganda, 20 cases have been recorded so far, including two deaths.
