Restoration of mosaic compositions to be carried out in Baku on Leyla Aliyeva's initiative

Considering the fact in several districts of Baku, there are mosaic compositions that are one of the forms of the historical and cultural heritage of our people and decorate some of the buildings and parks of Baku, an initiative was put forward by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva regarding the restoration of existing mosaic compositions, and the issues arising from her initiative were discussed at a meeting held at the Baku City Executive Power, APA reports.

After the discussions, a relevant commission was established, and an initial action plan was determined. The heads of district executive powers were instructed to conduct an inventory in the territories of the districts they lead, restore existing mosaic compositions, and increase control over them. Restoration work has already begun in some areas.

It was decided during the meeting that an album containing existing mosaic compositions should be published.
