An event titled "The Voice of Poetry," dedicated to Azerbaijani literature, was held at the M.I. Rudomino Foreign Literature Library in Moscow, APA reports.
The event dedicated to the contemporary poems of Azerbaijani authors, held with the support of the representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, took place within the framework of the annual "Night of the Arts" initiative.
In his speech during the event, Nazim Ismayilzade, Deputy Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's office in Russia, spoke about the history of Azerbaijani literature. He noted that Azerbaijani literature, especially poetry, has a rich history and that today’s modern Azerbaijani poetry reflects the pulse of the times and meets its demand.
Later, four young Azerbaijani poets—Gurban Khaligverdili, Gunel Miriyeva, Rana Soltanova, and Kamal Aliyev—presented a program of their own and other contemporary authors' poems.
The event highlighted that poetry brings together young poets and readers from entirely different professional backgrounds.
