The Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan is investigating the fact that Armenians appropriated the song Yarım gilə by the honored artist and composer Javanshir Guliyev, the Agency told APA.
Detailed information about the results of the investigation will be provided in the coming days.
As composer Javanshir Guliyev told APA, the song he wrote in 1991 gained great popularity and was performed by Turkish and Georgian singers.
"I even found a Georgian performer who apologized to me for performing the song without permission. This song in this version reached Armenia," the composer noted.
The composer sent the recording to the Agency and asked to launch an investigation.
