Foreign guests have always been impressed by Azerbaijan’s cuisine and culture, said the European Union’s Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, Gediminas Varanavičius, at the opening of the third “European Delights” Culinary Festival held at the European Games Park in Baku, APA reports.

He called on the festival participants to get closely acquainted with European cuisine and stated that culinary arts can make a significant contribution to the development of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and EU countries.

Note that the “European Delights” culinary festival features separate stands representing the cuisines of Belgium, France, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.

At this event, which aims to showcase European cuisine to the Azerbaijani public, local farmers are offering organic food products for sale, produced with the support of an EU project.
