A documentary film titled "Mayotte: Island of Death," produced by the CBC television channel, highlighting the tragedies experienced by the residents of Mayotte, one of France's colonial territories, was presented in Baku, Azerbaijan, APA reports.
At the event, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov stated that the film depicts the tragic events that have occurred on the island.
The film reveals that 30% of Mayotte's residents lack any documents, and amidst rampant crime, the authorities are urging the population to remain calm.
