Azerbaijan's prominent reciter Nadir Huseynov passes away

Renowned reciter, professor, and Honored Teacher of Azerbaijan Nadir Huseynov has passed away, actor Nofel Valiyev told APA.

According to him, the incident occurred while Nadir Huseynov was behind the wheel when he suffered a heart attack, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into an obstacle.

Nadir Huseynov was born in 1952 in Girmizikend village of the Neftchala district. He graduated from the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts named after M. Aliyev.

In 1975, he became a diploma winner at the All-Union Artistic Reciters’ Competition held in Leningrad. In subsequent years, Huseynov worked as a host for various television programs, jubilees, and public events. He was especially recognized as the presenter of the folklore program “Ozan”, broadcast on Azerbaijan State Television.

For many years, Nadir Huseynov taught the subject of Stage Speech at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
