The US Supreme Court's ruling regarding American import tariff policy will not affect Washington's plans to conclude a new trade agreement with New Delhi, US President Donald Trump announced, APA reports.
"Nothing changes. They (Indian suppliers – TASS note) will pay duties, and we will not pay duties," the US prime minister said at a press conference at the White House.
"And I would say I have an excellent relationship with Prime Minister [of India] Narendra Modi," the American leader continued. "I think my relationship with India is fantastic," he added.
Moreover, the president reiterated his commitment to helping resolve the conflict in Ukraine. "India has withdrawn from Russia. India was getting oil from Russia. And at my request, they have significantly reduced [such purchases] because we want to end this terrible war <...>," the head of the White House asserted.
