President Donald Trump outlined on Sunday what he described as a potential timeline for the US conflict with Iran, giving the suggestion it may extend for several weeks, APA reports citing Daily Mail.
“It’s always been a four-week process,” Trump told the Daily Mail in a brief phone call. “We figured it will be four weeks or so,” he added.
“As strong as it is, it’s a big country, it’ll take four weeks — or less,” the president explained.
His remarks offer the clearest indication yet of how long the administration anticipates the military campaign could continue.
Trump also indicated that he may soon deliver another public address as military operations in Iran unfold.
“I’m getting ready to do so,” he said when asked whether he planned to give another speech on an update of the attacks.
