US President Donald Trump said he would be happy to lift sanctions on Iran if Tehran is willing to negotiate and reach a deal, APA reports.
"I think Iran will come to an agreement. They've been beaten and beaten, and you know, they need help. There are huge sanctions, as you know, huge sanctions. I would be happy to lift the sanctions when they're ready to negotiate, but they can't survive with these sanctions," Trump said at a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, on the sidelines of the Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
"At some point, they're going to say, 'We want sanctions lifted. We're going to end up with peace. I think Iran will be fine,'" the US president added.
