The bodies of eight people, including six children, were found after a fire at a private home in the US state of Michigan; some had gunshot wounds, APA reports citing NBC.
According to Ottawa County Police Captain Jacob Sparks, the children killed ranged in age from 5 to 15. The number of gunshot wounds was not specified.
Sparks stated that currently, one theory regarding the incident is a mass murder followed by suicide, so law enforcement is not seeking outside suspects. The police captain called the incident "a complex and confusing situation."
