"Nearly 16,000 people in total live in the liberated districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand," Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, said during his speech at the plenary session titled "Culture at the Center: Safe Pathways to a Common Future" at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku, APA reports.

According to him, more than 4,000 families have currently settled in these three districts.

Emin Huseynov noted that this figure is expected to increase significantly and rapidly in the coming period: "The most difficult stage of clearing the territories of mines, establishing basic infrastructure and carrying out other important restoration work is already behind us."

The Special Representative emphasized that the main goal is to ensure the sustainable return of residents to their native cities and villages and to revitalize all spheres of life in these territories.

According to him, this process should not be limited to the restoration of residential buildings, schools and infrastructure, but should also encompass the development of social and cultural life.
