A framework cooperation agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Economy and IE University on the establishment and development of an Artificial Intelligence Observatory for competitiveness and economic transformation in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli announced this at the opening ceremony of the Leadership and Innovation Center of Spain's IE University, established with the support of the Ministries of Economy and Science and Education.
According to him, the Observatory will bring together academia, government institutions, and business representatives to generate knowledge on Azerbaijan's economic development and support policy decisions.
"Its activities will focus on applied research into economic diversification, productivity, competitiveness, and international comparisons. These studies will make it possible to benefit from global experience and data and transform theories into practical policy solutions," he said.
"We believe that IE University's Leadership and Innovation Center will contribute to the development of human capital, strengthening Azerbaijan's economic competitiveness, and increasing its innovation potential. Our goal is to link international knowledge and experience with the country's economic priorities and transform investments in human capital into higher productivity and concrete economic results," the Deputy Minister noted.
