The signing of the Greenland agreement, attended by US President Donald Trump, will take place on September 22 in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. This was reported by several Western media outlets, including Fox News and Reuters citing a White House spokesperson, APA reports.
"President Trump will hold a trilateral signing ceremony for a Greenland security deal with Danish and Greenlandic leaders in New York on Tuesday," Reuters reports.
Fox News, for its part, clarified that the Prime Ministers of Denmark and Greenland, Mette Frederiksen and Jens-Frederik Nielsen, will also attend the ceremony. "The three leaders will formalize their new agreement, which will ensure the security of Greenland and the United States," a White House spokesperson told the network.
