Georgian Speaker: European funds used to promote fascist ideology in Georgia

"The European Union continues to finance radicalism in Georgia," Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said at a briefing, APA's local bureau reports.

The Speaker stated that European funds are being used to finance individuals or groups promoting fascist ideology in Georgia.

"We must accept this fact. I do not expect Brussels to react to this issue, as it is indifferent to the position of the Georgian people. They have a clear agenda to create instability in Georgia," Papuashvili added.

It should be noted that the Tbilisi School of Political Studies recently organized a seminar with the support of the Council of Europe. Georgia's State Audit Office has launched inspections into the possible receipt of a grant for the event without approval.
