US sanctions will not contribute to more successful progress toward a settlement in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said while commenting on new US sanctions against Russia, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia is in contact with its trading partners regarding US sanctions.
"We are in constant contact with our trading partners. You have already heard their statements assessing such possible secondary restrictions. In fact, everyone is unanimous in completely rejecting such a policy.
As for the signing of this document, it certainly does not contribute to the revival of our bilateral relations. Of course, it is unlikely to contribute to more successful progress toward a settlement in Ukraine," the Kremlin spokesperson emphasized.
Peskov recalled that more than 30,000 different sanctions have been imposed on Russia in total.
"These include market, corporate, sectoral, individual and other sanctions. Of course, Russia has adapted to these sanctions to a significant extent and has found ways to minimize the negative impact of their implementation," he said.
