Binali Yildirim: COP29 held in Baku was bright example

"COP29 held in Baku last year was a bright example," former Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said during a speech at a side event titled "Multilateralism at a Crossroads: Challenges and the Path to Peace" organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, APA's correspondent in New York reports.

"No country can stop climate change, regulate artificial intelligence and global migration. The Paris Climate Agreement proves that it is a key stage of global unity. COP29, held in Baku, Azerbaijan last year, was another bright example. The world gathered in Azerbaijan to discuss climate action. In the future, NATO meetings will be held in Ankara, Türkiye, where future plans will be determined. These examples show that regional players can host at the global level and organize dialogues for all nations, large and small," noted Yildirim.
