Youth Foundation announces 8th grant competition - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

Baku – APA. The Observation Council of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has held a meeting on Wednesday.

The agenda included the announcement of the 8th grant competition, amendments to the rules of giving grants of participation in international events to individuals, and preparation of some normative documents regulating the Foundation’s activities.

Chairman of the Observation Council, deputy head of the Presidential Administration’s public-political affairs department Tahir Suleymanov said in his speech that 2,333 projects by youth organizations and individuals at 16 to 29 years of age have been supported during the Foundation’s seven competitions from 2012 to 2015, and that more than AZN 13.5 million allocated for their realization. At the meeting, 12 directions were approved on Category A (local projects), 4 directions on Category B (international projects), 13 directions on Category C (individual projects). And a period of one month (18 December 2015 to 15 January 2016) has been appointed for their presentation. Some other directions include arrangement of educative activities against religious radicalism and extremism, assistance to the social adaptation of boarding school and orphanage graduates as well as those of teens and youths exempt from their sentence at penitentiaries, public support to the awareness campaign for the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games which will be held in Azerbaijan in 2017, and other new themes.
