The 12th and 13th paragraphs will be annexed to article #29 (relevant executive authority) of the law “On freedom of religion” in this regard, the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.
According to the 12th paragraph, the authority inspects points of sale of religious literature (both hard copy and electronic), audio and video material, goods and products and other information material with a religious theme having verification mark in accordance with the law “On regulation of inspections at enterprises and protection of entrepreneurs' interests”.
According to the 13th paragraph, the authority takes measures for training of specialists in the field of religion and increase of qualifications and organizing refresher courses.
Note that the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations is the relevant executive authority for work with religious organizations in Azerbaijan.
The draft law will be discussed at the parliament’s meeting on October 6.
