The Interior Ministry and the Baku Mayor’s Office determined the list of relevant roads in order to ensure the movement of passenger buses and emergency vehicles on the special lanes and submitted to the Road Safety Commission the proposals on the arrangement of the mentioned traffic movement.

The Road Safety Commission decided to draw special lanes for passenger busses and emergency vehicles in six places in Baku. Currently, the Interior Ministry's Main State Traffic Police Office and Baku Mayor’s Office are specifying the appropriate streets and avenues.

Spokesperson for Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Transport, Shafa Mehmangizi confirmed the fact to APA, noting that special lanes are intended for passenger busses and emergency vehicles in Baku.

“Streets and avenues with special lanes will be named in a few days,” she said.

Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Road Safety Commission of the Cabinet of Ministers, Abid Sharifov said last month that special lanes for passenger buses and emergency vehicles can be drawn only on three-way roads.
