Residents begin to resettle in fire-affected building in Baku after capital repairs

Vugar Aliyev, section manager of Azeraqrartikinti Company, told APA that capital repairs of the apartments of the building are fully completed now. According to him, 500 workers and foremen had worked on a continuous basis over the past four months and reconstruction work was fully over before Eid-al Adha. A total of 59 flats have undergone repairs and they have been equipped with furniture and household equipment.

Khanim Mammadaliyeva, one of the first to return to the building, said her flat on the ninth floor has been repaired and expressed her contentment with it.

15 people died when the high-rise caught fire on May 19. AZN 3 million was allocated to fund the reconstruction work.
