Residential buildings spoiling city view to be demolished in Baku’s Sabunchu district

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu - APA. The Cabinet of Ministers has passed a decision on additional measures to accelerate socio-economic development of the Sabunchu district of Baku.

 

Under the decision, the Sabunchu District Executive Auhotiry, in the format of "pilot project" and in compliance with the requirements of civil, housing and urban planning and construction laws, is due to ensure for five years the demolition and reconstruction of the damaged buildings that spoil the city view and don’t meet the current standards of urban planning, as well as the non-residential facilities of social and other purposes, drafting and approval of detailed plans of territory and territorial units, as well as the consent for the projects of the new residential buildings and non-residential facilities and authorization for construction and operation of construction objects.

 

At the same time, the Sabunchu District Executive Authority is due to ensure the renewal of the housing fund, create conditions for the territories of buildings in poor conditions to be used for multi-storey residential buildings to be built by construction companies for the improvement of residents’ housing conditions and for the alteration of land areas owned or used by legal entities or individuals or the takeover of these lands with their owners’ consent and after its cost is paid for, and ensure that construction companies pay the necessary amount for residents whose houses are dismantled due to their poor condition to be temporarily settled in rented apartments and for new apartments which are to be built in place of the old ones to be allocated for them.
