Person acquired land plot to build private houses cannot alienate it for five years in Azerbaijan

Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on application of law on “Amendments to the law on Management of Municipal Land”.

APA reports that according to the order, the Cabinet of Ministers is to develop proposals on conforming the laws of Azerbaijan Republic and acts of the president to the law on ““Amendments to the law on Management of Municipal Land” within three months and submit them to the president, provide conforming the normative legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers to that law within three months, as well as control conformation of normative legal acts of the central executive power bodies to that law and inform the president about it within five months.

According to amendments, the article #9.8 was annexed to the Law on “Management of Municipal Land. That article provides that a person acquired land plot to build private houses cannot alienate it for five years in Azerbaijan. Such type of restriction should be provided in the decision of municipality and contract to be signed between the parties in accordance with the article #6.2 of the law.
