The monograph was prepared based on the research work carried out in connection with the Khojaly-Gadabay culture that prevailed in many parts of the Caucasus during the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age, N. Ateshi told APA.

The objects of study in the monograph are archaeological discoveries of the XIX century, illegally transported and deposited in European museums.

The monograph proved that the history of the Khojaly-Gadabay culture was falsified by European historians over the last 185 years and numerous academic mistakes were made in the history, geography and anthropology of Azerbaijan.

N. Ateshi said she has discovered several unstudied collections belonging to this culture, original tomb reports and other handwritings at Prehistory and Ancient History Museum in Berlin.

“This monograph is the first to include a comparative analysis of historical, archeological, ethnographic and anthropologic scientific works published by German scientists over the last 150 years, original excavation reports and personal handwritings. Intentional or unintentional mistakes written in the history of Khojaly-Gadabay culture are disproved in the material,” she said.

The author said she has demanded before the international science world these publications are put up for scientific discussions, removed from scientific circulation and Khojaly-Gadabay culture is studied again in an unbiased way.

“In the monograph, I have also suggested possible solutions to problem, confronting European science with concrete scientific facts, sharp evidence and serious objective scientific results,” Ateshi added.

The monograph which also includes some archeological research on women’s involvement in the military history of Azerbaijan has been published at XÉ™zÉ™r University, under the decision of the scientific council of the ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography.

Ateshi also said that she has prepared and introduced to relevant German and Azerbaijani authorities a wide scientific project for restudy of Khojaly-Gadabay culture with international partners.
