Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Arif Valiyev has died this night. The State Statistical Committee has confirmed the information to APA-Economics.
It was noted that A. Valiyev has died after a long illness.
The funeral ceremony of the deceased will take place today.
Valiyev was born on June 28, 1943 in Hasansu village of Agstafa Rayon, Azerbaijan. In 1971, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Economic University.
In May 1993, Valiyev was appointed the Chairman of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan Republic, the post which he has held to this day.
He has two sons.
