Ahead of November 8 – Victory Day, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population has provided another 130 apartments to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities in Baku, Shirvan, Hajigabul and Yevlakh, APA reports.
The apartments are located in the relevant residential complexes of the State Housing Development Agency (MIDA) and are fully renovated.
Speaking at the apartment handover ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Hidayat Abdullayev stated that families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities are receiving significant attention and care from the state.
He emphasized that following the historic Victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the housing provision program for these categories of people has been expanded fivefold.
It was noted that, including the apartments presented today, nearly 7,500 apartments have been provided to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities during the post-war period, while more than 16,000 apartments have been provided in total over the years.
At the same time, 586 vehicles have been provided to persons with war-related disabilities during the post-war period, with more than 7,700 vehicles provided in total over the years.
Speaking at apartment handover ceremonies for families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities in other regions, participants emphasized that improving the well-being of these individuals is one of the main priorities of the state's social policy. It was noted that housing provision measures for citizens belonging to these categories are a clear manifestation of this policy.
Members of the families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities who received new apartments expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care shown to them.
Note that nearly 7,500 apartments have been provided to these categories of people during the post-war period, while more than 16,000 apartments have been provided in total over the years.
