17 people bitten by snakes have visited the Toxicology of the Clinic Medical Center in July, chief toxicologist Azer Magsudov said in a statement to APA.
He noted that 9 of them have been admitted to the hospital.
“One of them is in extremely critical condition and the others remain in critical condition. For the most part, the victims have come from Khazar, Garadagh, Shamakhy, Tovuz, Yevlakh, and other areas. No death has so far resulted from these snake bites. A total of 30 people have been bitten by snakes this summer. As the weather is going normal, there is no increase in the number of bites compared to the same period of last year,” he said.
He added that 3 and 2 people bitten by scorpions and spiders have also been admitted to the hospital.
