The letter sent from IB to principal, Mrs. Shaundele Leatherberry says that the International Baccalaureate has approved the appeal of the European Azerbaijan School for IBDP. The EAS will be recognized as a candidate school status giving education under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) by September 1, 2014.
The IBO's Diploma Programme (DP) was created in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland. A person getting the IB diploma can enter any university in the world without taking entrance exam. IB diploma can be given only by schools offering the Diploma Programme authorized by the IB.
The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) founded the European Azerbaijan School (EAS) in 2011. In addition to its fully developed educational curriculum, the school also offers an extensive extracurricular programme. The school has become a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) in 2013.
