State Commission established to investigate causes of the plane crash held next meeting

On December 27, the next meeting of the State Commission established to investigate the causes of the plane crash was held, the Cabinet of Minister of Azerbaijan told APA.

Chairman Ali Asadov stated that the Commission will review the work done so far and the tasks ahead regarding the elimination of the consequences of the crash.

Information was provided on the measures taken and the actions to be carried out to assist those injured in the crash.

Reports from the Commission members were heard based on their areas of responsibility.

Commission members provided information on the process of bringing the bodies of the deceased and the injured to Azerbaijan, the burial of the deceased, and the ongoing treatment of critically injured citizens in Aktau.

It was stated that necessary measures are being taken to bring the bodies of 4 of the 26 Azerbaijani citizens who died in the crash back to the country and their burial. The issue of bringing the bodies of the other 22 individuals to the country after the completion of forensic examination and other necessary procedures has also been discussed.

The Commission members were tasked with ensuring the urgent and swift resolution of issues related to providing necessary financial assistance and moral-psychological support to the injured and the families of the deceased.

It was noted that investigation measures continue within the framework of a special commission established by Kazakhstan to determine the causes of the incident. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's firm position is that the causes of the crash must be investigated transparently, objectively, and comprehensively, and the public must be informed about the results of the investigation.
