Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has reportedly been taken to hospital after collapsing following a training session at the club's Saebener Strasse headquarters on Friday, APA reports citing Sky Sports Germany.
Belgian required immediate medical attention before being transported by ambulance to a hospital in Munich.
A rescue helicopter was also seen landing at Bayern's training complex, although reports indicate that Kompany was taken to hospital by road.
The incident comes after the 40-year-old had been struggling with a viral infection that affected his legs and caused significant discomfort.
Kompany had already experienced health problems before Bayern's 6-1 Bundesliga victory over RB Leipzig last weekend, when he remained seated in the dugout for much of the match.
He subsequently missed Tuesday's training session and pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday's Champions League encounter with Arsenal.
