Russia produces around 140 ballistic missiles a month and currently has 700 in its arsenal, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said, APA reports.
According to Clash Report, Zelenskyy said Russian missile production relies on foreign components.
He said approximately 70% of the components in each ballistic missile are supplied from countries in Asia, the United States and Europe.
“Everyone talks about these missiles, but the problem can be solved. Around 70% of the components come from other countries. You can stop this because these are your companies,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian president also asked the United States to activate Starlink satellite communications in areas of Russia from which ballistic missiles are launched.
“We told our American partners: activate Starlink in the areas where Russia launches ballistic missiles. We will do everything ourselves. If Russia does not stop this war, we will deal with it,” he said.
Zelenskyy also said Ukraine would need a large, strong army for at least the next 10 years.
He added that the war had severely damaged the country’s economy and that reconstruction would require long-term financial support from international partners.
