In December, 116 individuals were admitted to the Toxicology Department of the Clinical Medical Center due to poisoning.
Among the patients admitted, 29 were poisoned by medication, 24 by acetic acid, and 22 by botulism.
Additionally, 18 people were admitted due to carbon monoxide poisoning, 7 for allergic reactions, 4 for ethanol poisoning, 3 for organophosphorus compounds, 6 for caustic solution poisoning, and 3 for anaphylactic shock.
Despite the efforts of the doctors, 7 individuals (5 men and 2 women) died due to poisoning.
The deaths were attributed to acetic acid, botulism, ethanol, medication, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
