On December 12, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was commemorated in Heydar Aliyev Park located in the Sariyer district of Istanbul, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva, Chairman of Sariyer Municipality of Istanbul Shukru Genc, employees of Sariyer Municipality, consulate, diplomats, officials, intellectuals, representatives of mass media, and NGOs took part in the event.
Flowers and wreathes were laid in front of the monument of the National Leader and paid tribute to his dear memory at the memorial event.
The participants of the event also visited the bust of the founder of Turkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and laid flowers in front of it.
