The investigative body’s submission regarding the selection of a preventive measure of arrest against individuals accused of committing murder following an incident at a restaurant in Baku’s Khatai district has been considered, APA reports.
A decision was made at a hearing held today at the Binagadi District Court.
According to the decision, a preventive measure of arrest for a period of four months was imposed on Emin Goshgar oglu Rahimov and Elmar Shujaat oglu Jafarov.
It should be recalled that one of the detained individuals, Ahmad Alizade, is the son of MP Arzukhan Alizade.
It has been established that the mentioned individuals led a lifestyle in accordance with the rules of the criminal underworld, regularly engaged in illegal activities, conducted criminal investigations to extort money through threats, and created a criminal organization, as well as participated in its activities, with the aim of gaining influence in criminal circles and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm using firearms and bladed weapons to severely punish individuals who refused to comply with their demands.
Necessary operational and investigative measures are ongoing within the criminal case initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code to establish all the circumstances of the incident, the involvement of each detainee in the crime, and the areas of activity and connections of the criminal organization.
