"There are certain events that we cannot erase from history," Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said at a special session on "The Language of Peace and Combating Disinformation" held within the framework of the "Baku Culture and Media Dialogue Platform," APA reports.
"However, we have no intention of seeking revenge. Steps still need to be taken and initiatives put forward to achieve lasting peace. Armenia should apologize to the Azerbaijani people. Armenian society should apologize to Azerbaijanis who were unable to return to their homeland for 30 years," the Presidential Assistant said.
