The opening ceremony of the Level 2 (NEL-2) NATO evaluation exercise of a pair of Mi-17-1V helicopters of the Azerbaijan Air Force was held within the framework of NATO's Operational Capabilities Concept Programme, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) told APA.
During the event, detailed information was provided on the purpose of the exercise, safety regulations, and other important issues.
In accordance with the program, live-fire tasks were carried out at the training ground, and practical firefighting exercises were also conducted.
In addition, theoretical and practical tests were organized to assess the individual skills of military personnel, and assessments were conducted.
Note that the main purpose of the exercise, which will continue until October 29, is to verify and certify the compliance of the declared helicopter pair's operational capabilities with NATO standards.
