Heavy rain and strong winds forecast for Azerbaijan on October 3

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected across Azerbaijan on October 3, APA reports citing the National Hydrometeorological Service.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, intermittent heavy showers are forecast, with thunderstorms possible in some areas. Rain is expected to become particularly heavy overnight from October 2 to 3 and during the morning.

Strong north-easterly winds are also expected.

Temperatures in Baku and Absheron will range from 13-15°C at night to 15-17°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is forecast to rise from 764 mmHg to 768 mmHg, while relative humidity will be between 80% and 90%.

Elsewhere in Azerbaijan, intermittent showers are expected in some areas, with heavy and intense rainfall, thunderstorms and hail possible in places.

Snow is forecast in mountainous areas, while some locations could see fog overnight and in the morning. Moderate westerly winds are expected to strengthen at times.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 12-16°C at night to 16-20°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to be 2-5°C at night and 5-8°C during the day.
